First Performance
Welcome by a puppet and Praise singer with African song and dance. Mali puppets, crafted by master puppeteer Yaya Coulibaly, are used to showcase the animistic Bamana tradition, symbolizing the connection between the human and spirit world and celebrating nature’s balance.
Second Performance
A dance contest between male warriors and female dancers, symbolizing the strength of African men and women and their attempts to impress one another through dance.
Last Performance
A tribute to African royalty, featuring the arrival of the Queen Mother from the Akhan tribe, adorned in gold and sprinkling 24-carat gold dust as a symbol of wealth and power. She wears gold-rimmed glasses, symbolizing status by avoiding direct eye contact with commoners.
Staff Performance
